Micro Focus Tests
These images were all shot at high quality, largest size JPEG. I wasn't sure if shooting raw would be of any advantage although I always shoot raw in reality. As you will see from the filenames I have gone up in micro focus correction by one setting in each one. The final two images are respectively, the 16 to 50 mm F2 .8 set at F4 and finally my old 16 to 45 F4 also set at F4. It seems like number 10 is the correct focus correction although there is not really very much difference. In this test it seems to do quite well but the problem is usually when the subject is not perpendicular to the camera. I will also add a couple of screen grabs of problem images from yesterday's senior shoot. I will put the full size image as well as a screen grab close-up of what I see as the problem area.
