I recently found myself attending an ‘Autumn Shine’ party in my capacity as a photographer. The idea was that women would come to the party, drink some wine, eat some food, get a free make up session with the wonderful Mary Kay professional, Becky Doll, drape themselves in fantastic Silpada jewelry courtesy of Audrey Tice and then have professional portraits taken by yours truly. So what happened? I was distracted and entranced by Audrey’s two wonderful daughters and I ended up taking many pictures of the kids and we had a high old time. There’s nothing quite so fun as photographing kids who love to perform for the camera!
Greg Heffron has been a friend for many years. We used to run Midline Design together until he hotfooted it to pastures new and sold me Midline Design. He is a coding wizard and can make an e-commerce system like nobody else. I love this photograph of him as his health has not been good over the years but having moved to a wonderful new home seems to have made a world of difference and this shot of him in that new space and looking handsome and dapper makes me very happy. For several years I have been lucky enough to be the Herald’s photographer for their Dining Guide, doing the cover and many images within the magazine itself. The latest featured business was Giuseppe’s on Cornwall Avenue. It is always a joy to do creative food images, not least because the Herald crew often gets to chow down on the dishes once the photographs are taken! See more of my covers for the Herald here.

Landscapes
As autumn gave way to winter my partner and I decided to get out and up that mountain while we could and while the sun shone and the colors were as lovely as they could be for this year. The results were spectacular and wonderful. We stopped in at Graham’s Restaurant (a tradition around here!) for some delicious food and warmth and then up the mountain to gather some of the beauty in pixels. Millions and millions of pixels! Latest shoot
Inside Out. Just over a year ago I had the opportunity to photograph a woman who
was, at the time, very heavily pregnant. We got some beautiful pictures that day
and they can be seen here (some nudity). Well, a year later and I had the chance
to photograph her daughter Lilly on the occasion of her first birthday! Lilly was
a wonderful, bright and vivacious girl and she was certainly intrigued by the cup
